Also, just for the fun of it. You could get the Ford Fusion cousin with a 3.5L V6 and AWD with just 7 or so less hp and not have to deal with the added complication of turbo:

The REGULAR Mazda 6 was, the Mazdaspeed 6 was a Japan built Mazda Atenza that shares very few parts with the regular car we got. Similar in design, but not made here.

I got a replacement key for my MS6 once. It was $295. Not $600, but not cheap.

Also while the regular 6 was made in Michigan, the Speed was made in Japan.

Mine still was rusting pretty badly by the time it reached about 6 years old though. (Which is why I got rid of it.)
